During summer, Johannesburg's average temperature can reach about 25 to 27 degrees Celcius, and in the winter months, the average temperatures are between 17 to 21 degrees Celcius. Rainfall is during the summer time. In winter, frost is not uncommon, and in the exception when it is a very cold winter, snow can even occur. This only happens once every ten or twenty years though.
